Marvel has teamed up with Square Enix to tease a new game based on the Avengers series. That being said, very little is actually known about the game; besides the fact that it is being developed by Tomb Raider studio Crystal Dynamics and Deus Ex creators Eidos Montreal.
Called the ‘Avengers Project’, the short teaser trailer appears to show the Avengers defeated and scattered. It could be that the new game will involve recruiting the team once again, since the video uses the hashtag ‘#reassemble’.
There’s no release date for the game just yet, nor is there any indication of which platforms it will be on. Marvel’s press release says that the Avengers Project will create a universe that players can experience for years to come; which sounds worryingly like an MMO in the making.
To be honest, Marvel should just give everyone what we want and make a new Avengers Alliance game. Is that too much to ask?
