Privacy is a very important thing, especially when it involves anything to do with the internet. Sadly, with complicating explanations, setting options, and such, many people fail to properly protect their privacy. Facebook just introduced a new Privacy Basics site that makes it easier for people to understand and control their information and posts on the social network platform.
Privacy Basic is a mobile-friendly page from Facebook that simplifies the various privacy and security related settings on Facebook. It is based on the most frequently asked question, with 32 interactive guides available in 44 languages.
This is definitely a very useful tool, particularly for those who are not tech savvy. On top of giving tips to users to help them secure their account, there is also a Privacy Checkup option to let them immediately review and tighten the privacy of their Facebook account. Facebook says that this is part of the company’s “overall effort to make sure you have all the information you need to share what you want with only the people you want to see it.”
