Last week, Samsung has announced that the company has begun rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update to its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones. Equipped with several new features, the update apparently is now available for Galaxy S7 edge in Malaysia as well.
With a file size of around 1.3GB, the update carries several new features alongside UX and performance tweaks for the new smartphone. Among such improvements that Samsung has announced before are better aesthetic for the phone’s Quick Panel and Notifications.
The phone’s multi window feature has also been improved through the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Not to forget, there is also the new Performance Mode that provides four modes to suits several common usage scenarios on Galaxy S7 edge.
Interestingly, the update apparently has also activated Digi VoLTE on the smartphone. This despite the fact that the telco has yet to include Galaxy S7 edge in its VoLTE website for the time being.
So far we have not heard if the feature has been enabled for other telcos but nevertheless, do let us know or leave a screenshot in the comments below if you have received VoLTE function on your Galaxy S7 edge through the Android 7.0 Nougat update even though you are not on Digi.
