Microsoft has announced the PC system requirements for its upcoming real-time strategy game, Halo Wars 2. The game, which is slated for release in 21 February 2017, is developed by 343 Industries and Creative Assembly and will be compatible with Windows PCs and the Xbox One console. Despite being a relatively new game, the system requirements for Halo Wars 2 is actually, pretty decent.
For starters, the absolute minimum specifications that one needs to have before playing Halo Wars 2 is, of course, a 64-bit Windows 10 PC. In addition, one would also need 6GB of RAM along with a graphics card that has 2GB of VRAM. These include the Nvidia GTX 660, Radeon HD 7750, Intel HD 520 (integrated), and their equivalents.
That said, it’s worth noting that Microsoft’s Halo Wars 2 runs primarily on the DirectX 12 API, so a DX12 compliant graphics card is required. When it comes to processors, the minimum system requirement to run the game is either an Intel i5-2500 or AMD FX-4350 CPU.
Next up are the recommended PC system requirements needed for one to run Halo Wars 2 at relatively smooth framerates with more flamboyant graphics. According to Microsoft, 8GB of RAM is required along with a graphics card that has 4GB of VRAM. These include either the Nvidia GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 480 graphics cards. CPU requirements are as follows: either an Intel Core i5-4690K or AMD FX-8350 CPU.
