Remember our previous report on how Nokia devices will continue to be made available in Malaysia even as the Nokia-branded devices are now under the care of HMD Global? In case you were skeptical about it, here is the first hard proof: Avaxx Corporation has just announced the availability of Nokia 150 in our market.
As you might be able to recall, the Nokia 150 is not a smartphone. Instead, it is a Series 30+ feature phone that is equipped with a 2.4-inch QVGA color display alongside a VGA camera and LED flash. It also has a separate LED torchlight and built-in FM radio together with the support for MP3 playback and 32GB microSD card.
Together with a polycarbonate chassis and scratch-resistance paint, another highlight of Nokia 150 is its 1,020 mAh battery. Specifically, the battery is able to provide up to 22 hours of talk time to the phone as well as maximum standby time of 31 days. Even though it is feature phone, users are able to charge it with using the commonly available micro-USB charger.
In terms price, it can be obtained for RM 159. While we have yet to see the phone at stores ourselves, Avaxx announcement on its Facebook page seems to suggest that it can be obtained immediately in Malaysia.
