Whether it is due to curiosity, nostalgia or simply because the brand is finally adopting Android, many are rather excited for Nokia’s return into the smartphone and tablet business this year. However, the first smartphone from the brand – Nokia 6 – will only be available for China though but fret not, more are coming and they might be revealed to the world very soon.
In a post over at Nokia Mobile’s official Facebook page, the brand has stated that it will be making several announcements on 26 February. Given how Mobile World Congress 2017 will take place around the same time, it might be possible that the announcements are meant for new Nokia smartphones or tablets.
To our knowledge, it seems that HMD Global will not have a major presence at the MWC 17’s show floor even though the company already booked several meeting rooms at the event. That being said, it is also possible that these new devices might be shown at Nokia Corp’s booth instead which has previously showcased Nokia N1 tablet during MWC 2015 even though the tablet was not manufactured by the company itself.
Regardless of that, consumers in Malaysia can still look forward to own the upcoming Android-based Nokia devices as Avaxx Corporation will continue to distribute Nokia products in Malaysia as per what they have been doing for so many years.
