There’s only a couple of days left before Nintendo’s big event where it will reveal more information about its Switch console. Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang, has shared his excitement for the unique console by claiming that “people are going to be blown away” in an interview with VentureBeat recently.
As most may have already known, Nintendo’s upcoming Switch console will be based on a unspecified custom Tegra chip by Nvidia, which may partly explain why the Nvidia CEO was full of praises for the console. He went on saying “I really believe when everybody sees it and enjoy it, they’re going be amazed by it. It’s really like nothing they’ve ever played with before.”
Knowing this, we can at least expect the Nintendo Switch to be a console that’ll turn heads upon its release – hopefully in a positive way. That said, I believe that the Switch will be more of an entry-level console meant for ‘casual’ gamers, instead of one that’ll challenge the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in terms on performance and exclusives.
Nonetheless, plenty of questions still remain regarding the Nintendo Switch console. Which Nvidia GPU architecture is the Tegra chip based on? How much does the console cost? More importantly, when will it be arriving in Malaysia? Hopefully we’ll get the answers come 12 January, during Nintendo’s special event.
