One of the big announcement from Lenovo at the on-going CES 2017 is the establishment of its own gaming-oriented sub-brand called Legion. For starters, the company has unveiled two new Legion gaming laptops which will apparently make their way to Malaysia soon.
We actually spotted one of the laptop – the Legion Y520 – at Lenovo’s booth in ESL One Genting. The Malaysian variant of the laptop might be featuring Intel Core i5-7300HQ processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 2GB GDDR5 graphics card. It will also be equipped with 8GB of RAM, 128GB solid state drive, and 500GB hard drive.
There is no confirmed release date and pricing information for the laptop at the moment but nevertheless, it is expected to be released in Malaysia this March at a price of between RM 3,000 to RM 4,000.
As for the higher-end Legion Y720, it was somehow not shown at Lenovo’s ESL One Genting booth. Nevertheless, we were informed that it will likely arrive in Malaysia sometime in May.
