At the company’s first-ever CES 2017 launch event, Xiaomi has unveiled a new variant of its very sleek Mi Mix. Now, the futuristic-looking smartphone is now available in white; we imagine this will appeal to those who don’t fancy the Mi Mix’s original black colourway.
This new variant of the Mi Mix has a different finish than the original Mi Mix. According to Xiaomi, the white Mi Mix has a pearl-like finish, which definitely help disguise fingerprints. It may be a subtle improvement, but it’s definitely a very welcome one, considering how much of a fingerprint magnet the black Mi Mix is.
Aside from the new colour, this variant of the Mi Mix is identical in terms of specifications to the original model. It still has a 6.4-inch 1080p bezel-less IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, as well as a sizeable 4,400mAh battery. Rounding out the specifications of the white Mi Mix are a 16MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus, a 5MP front-facing shooter, as well as dual-SIM support.
Unfortunately, the white Xiaomi Mi Mix will only be sold in China, much like the black model. Chances are, however, parallel importers will bring this new variant of the Mi Mix into Malaysia eventually.
