Malaysian based Fnatic have finally announced its lineup for the upcoming ESL One Genting. The team had been in a state of uncertainty as it rebuilt its roster after a poor performance at the Boston Major late last year, but now welcomes Febby, Inyourdream, and veteran YamateH to the team.
Yong-min “Febby” Kim, previously from Korean professional Dota 2 team MVP.Phoenix, will be taking on the roaming support role. While Muhammad Rizky “Inyourdream” Anugrah is a young Indonesian player with one of the highest MMRs in the SEA region. Rizky will be rotating mid and carry roles with Mushi.
Also joining the team as a stand in is veteran DotA player, Ng “YamateH” Wei Poong. The experienced player will be assuming the role of hard support in Fnatic.
Fnatic had a great run at last year’s Dota 2 The Internationals 2016 by finishing fourth place, but things started falling apart when the team signed up for the Boston Major qualifiers. Fnatic’s Dota 2 squad performance went south and one of the problems the team pointed out was lack of consistency in play.
Demon, eyyou, and Raven’s departure from Team Fnatic left, Mushi and Ohaiyo to rebuild the team. It took Fnatic a month or so to find themselves three new players to fill the team up, and it seems they’re ready for their debut.
Fnatic took their time with the selection of players this time round and they’ve mentioned that synergy within the team was of utmost importance. We’re excited to see how the new Fnatic lineup will perform at this year’s ESL One Genting 2017 Dota 2 tournament.
