You don’t need to fork out thousands of Ringgit to own a smartphone with dual-camera setup similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. First, Honor made a global announcement for the Honor 6x that was first unveiled last year, and now we have the ZTE Blade V8 Pro. The device is a mid-range Android smartphone that sports two cameras at the back, allowing you to capture pictures with depth-of-field effect and more.
Both the rear cameras on the ZTE Blade V8 Pro are packed with 13MP sensors. With these cameras, you can take pictures with depth-of-field similar to Portrait mode on the iPhone 7 Plus; the Blade V8 Pro even lets you control the bokeh effect with a slider. The rear cameras also allow for other fun filters, as well as more choices when editing photos on the device itself.
Specifications wise, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro features a 5.5” Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3.0. On the inside, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage (up to 128GB via microSD). Other specs include 8MP front camera, fingerprint sensor, 3140mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0, LTE connectivity, USB Type-C port, hybrid dual-SIM support, and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
The Blade V8 Pro is now available for pre-order in the U.S. for a very affordable price of US$229.98 – that’s about RM1,035.
