Earlier today, we noticed that Lenovo has listed several yet to be announced hardware in their new gaming laptops including the Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card. Now, a tipster has also pointed us to MSI products that are also equipped with such components but instead of just an announcement at CES 2017, you can actually order these MSI laptops in Malaysia!
Over at Tech Hypermart’s online store, a search using GTX 1050 as keyword reveals that they are four such laptops available to purchase at the well-known Puchong-based retailer. The highest model at the moment is the MSI GP72 7RD-026 which is also equipped with a 17.3-inch full HD IPS display alongside 8GB DDR4 RAM, 128GB M.2 SATA solid state drive, and 1TB 7200rpm SATA hard drive for RM 5,549 before discount.
Next in the list is the MSI PE60 7RD-085 which is part of the company’s Prestige series of laptops. Built with 15.6-inch full HD IPS display, this model feature the same memory and storage configurations as per GP72 7RD-026. The pre-discount price tag for this particular model is RM 5,299.
Despite having different design, the same specs above are also available in the form of MSI GL62M 7RD-054 which also costs slightly less at RM 4,799. The GTX 1050-based MSI GL62M is also available with only 4GB DDR4 RAM and 1TB 7200rpm hard drive for RM 4,499. Last but not least, there is also the MSI GP62M 7RD-053 which also carries GTX 1050 but is equipped with Core i7-6700HQ instead and listed at RM 5,199.
Thanks to these new listings, we guess more GTX 1050-based laptops should already be on their way to our market. More importantly, the official announcement by NVIDIA for the laptop version of GTX 1050 itself should come soon enough as well.
