Doogee first entered the Malaysian market last year with several entry-level smartphones, but now, it has launched its most premium smartphone yet on our shores, the F7 Pro. Other than that, the company has also released a slew of other new products here, such as a rather interesting projector dubbed Doogee Smart Cube P1.
The most interesting product of the bunch is definitely the Doogee F7 Pro, which is powered by a deca-core Helio X20 processor. It also has a 5.7-inch Full HD IGZO display, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 21MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus, a fingerprint sensor, a generous 4,000mAh battery, as well as a USB Type-C port. The F7 Pro also boasts a metal construction, but unfortunately, its retail price has not been revealed yet. It will, however, go on sale sometime in Q2 2016.
Other than the F7 Pro, Doogee also announced the T6, which the company dubs “the battery monster.” Packed with a sizeable 6,250mAh battery, the T6 is also equipped with a 5.5-inch 720p display, a MediaTek MTK6735 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 13MP rear camera, as well as a 5MP front-facing shooter. The Doogee T6 retails at RM599, and the company mentioned that it is available exclusively on Gemfive.
Interestingly, the Doogee Y200 was also launched at the event, which boasts almost the same hardware as the Doogee T6. In comparison to the latter, the Y200 has more storage space at 32GB, an 8MP front-facing shooter instead of 5MP, as well as the addition of a fingerprint sensor. Then again, it also has a much, much smaller 3,000mAh battery; it is also more costly at RM699.
And then we have the Doogee Smart Cube P1, a “tiny but powerful cube,” as Doogee puts it. Essentially, it is a cube-sized projector with support for Air Play, DLNA, Miracast, Bluetooth, and also WiFi. In terms of battery life, the 4,800mAh battery of the Smart Cune P1 can supposedly last for up to three hours. Other specifications of this projector include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM, an Amlogic quad-core processor, and a brightness of 70 lumen. The Smart Cube P1 will be available in Q3 2016 for RM999 in Malaysia.
Last, but not least, is the Doogee S1 smartwatch. According to Doogee, the S1 isn’t an Android Wear device; in fact, it is supposedly running on Android 4.4 KitKat, which is quite interesting. This smartwatch also has a 1.54-inch 240 x 240 display, a MediaTek MT6572 quad-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, as well as a…5MP camera. Yes, this smartwatch has a camera, and it will be available in Malaysia in the second quarter of 2016 for RM599.
It’s not often a company announce these many products at the same time. Evidently, Doogee is committed to bringing its latest products into Malaysia, although most of these devices are not on sale yet.
