Apple touts the iPhone SE as the “most powerful 4-inch smartphone,” and thanks to the Apple A9 processor, this is true to an extent. However, the Cupertino company still haven’t revealed some key specifications of the new iPhone, such as the RAM size and battery capacity. Now, according to a list of specifications on AnTuTu, the iPhone SE supposedly has the same amount of RAM as the bigger iPhone 6s and 6s Plus at 2GB.
AnTuTu is a popular benchmark tool for mobile devices. Turns out, someone in China has managed to benchmark the iPhone SE with the application. Looking at the specifications listed by the app, everything matches up with the iPhone SE’s hardware, right down to the processor, display resolution, cameras, as well as storage size.
If this information is legitimate, the iPhone SE is truly a more compact variant of the iPhone 6s. Although the exact battery capacity of the SE has not been revealed yet, Apple’s quoted battery life of the iPhone SE shows that it is able to outlast the iPhone 6 and 6s in certain usage scenarios.
While the AnTuTu listing may seem like a confirmation of the iPhone SE’s RAM size, there’s a chance the details on AnTuTu are inaccurate. Regardless, we will find out more regarding the iPhone SE’s full specifications from other parties once the device starts shipping on the 31st of March.
