Alongside the announcement of the new iPhone SE, Apple has also announced that iOS 9.3 will be rolling out to users today. As expected, the update brings forward a number of new features to iOS devices even though iOS 9.3 is not exactly a major update for the operating system.
One such feature that was highlighted at Apple’s event just moments ago is called Night Shift which dynamically adjust the color temperature of users’ iPhone and iPad according to the time of their location. In theory, the feature will lessen down the amount of blue light coming from these devices when it is activated at night which might help users sleep better.
Other than that, the iOS 9.3 also add new security options for its Notes app in the form of password and TouchID protection. The update also brings 3D Touch to new shortcuts including Settings, Store, Weather, Health, Stocks, and Compass.
At the same time, Apple CarPlay receives location-based recommendation together with improvements to Apple Music’s song suggestions. The update also add popular apps recommendation to Health.
Specifically for iPad in education environment, the iOS 9.3 also brings along the support for multi-user sharing, alongside device management tools for educational institutions. All in all, do stay tuned for a System Update notice on your iOS devices which marks the arrival of iOS 9.3 for them.
