With 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor as its brain, the R9 Plus also has 4GB RAM and support for microSD card just like the standard R9 but at the same time, users can to get their hands on the phone with either 64GB or 128GB internal storage.
The R9 Plus is also equipped with 16-megapixels Sony IMX298 sensor, PDAF capability and six-elements lens on its rear camera alongside an LED flash. Its front camera is similar to R9 though with 16-megapixels sensor and 5-elements f/2.0 lens. Last but not least, the R9 Plus carries a higher capacity battery than the standard R9 at 4,120 mAh.
Pre-installed with the new ColorOS 3.0 on top of its Android 5.1 operating system which is said to be lighter, faster, and more stable, both the standard R9 and R9 Plus features OPPO’s renowned VOOC fast charging technology but not the newly announced Super VOOC though. Additionally, they also comes with fingerprint sensor that is integrated into their home button.
