After showing plenty of MOBA actions such as Dota 2 and League of Legends, Astro will be adding yet another game into its eSports line-up. By that, we mean the popular football game EA Sports FIFA 16 as the satellite TV provider will be showing the grand finale of FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC) 2016.
Taking place at the world famous Apollo Theater in New York, the FIWC 2016 Grand Final will feature 32 best FIFA 16 players from all over the world. The format is rather weird though but quite interesting nevertheless as the pool of finalists are actually a mix of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players.
Highlights from last year’s FIWC grand final.
Not surprisingly, the final showdown will be a two-legged final whereby one match will be played on PlayStation 4 and another on Xbox One. We suppose that’s a fair way to determine which console has the best FIFA 16 player in the world.
As usual, Astro subscribers are able to catch the grand finale of FIWC 2016 live on Astro SuperSport Plus (channel 808) for free on 23 March starting from 6AM. As the same time, the match will also be shown on Astro On The Go’s website or Android and iOS apps.
