Ahead of its release later this year, Fossil has officially introduced its brand new fitness tracker Q Motion during the world-famous South by Southwest Festival. Just like its previous wearable devices, the new fitness tracker is a fusion of wearable tech and Fossil’s fashion sense.
Within its bracelet-like physique and cylindrical-shaped module, the Q Motion is built with the ability to track activities such as steps, distance, and burned calories in addition to sleep. Built with an LED indicator and interchangeable straps, the Q Motion will also vibrate once users receive a message or notification.
Supports Android and iOS through Bluetooth, the Q Motion can also be used as a music controller, phone locater, and camera trigger via the tracker’s smart tap technology. Through this particular technology, it apparently allows users to activate all the functions that we mentioned above simply by tapping on Q Motion’s main module.
In addition to its ability to withstand water depth of up to 50 meters, the Q Motion also has a maximum battery life of six months. It is not rechargeable though as the power for Q Motion is provided by a removable coin cell battery. Price at USD 95 (about RM 389), the Q Motion will be making its way to the market within the next few months.
