After the official launch of the Sony a6300 mirrorless interchangeable compact camera at this year’s CP+ 2016 show, the company has now made the camera available for pre-order here in Malaysia.
Compared to its predecessor, the a6000, the Sony a6300 camera brings with it a few new upgrades. The most prominent would be the newly-developed 24.2MP APS-C sized EXMOR CMOS sensor. This, coupled with the updated Bionz X processor should allow for higher resolution images with less noise.
The Sony a6300 boasts the capability of recording in 4K and 120fps slow motion videos. Sony also claims that the camera has the world’s fastest autofocus speed of 0.05 seconds with 425 autofocus points. In terms of ISO sensitivity, the Sony a6300 camera has twice the ISO range from the a6000 – from 100-25600 to 100-51200.
Sony has a special promotion for those who pre-order the Sony a6300 camera. Pre-orders of the a6300 camera (body only) or with the kit lens (16-50mm Power Zoom Lens (SELP1650)) will receive a complementary 128GB SD card and a NP-FW50 W series rechargeable battery pack.
Those who are looking to bundle their a6300 camera with other lenses – such as the E 16-70mm F4 ZA ODD (SEL1670Z) or E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS (SELP18105G) – will get a Think Tank Airport Navigator on top of the 128GB SD card and rechargeable battery.
The Sony a6300 camera body will cost RM4,999, while the kit lens bundle will sell for RM5,499. The lens bundle with the 16-70mm will cost RM8,099 while the bundle with the 18-105mm will go for RM6,799.
The pre-order duration starts now and will end on the 20th of March 2016. Delivery will begin on the 15th of April 2016, and it requires 7 to 14 working days.
