Leagoo Malaysia today has announced a new addition into its family of affordable Android smartphone in the form of Alfa 2. With a price tag of RM 449, Leagoo has clearly positioned Alfa 2 as an entry-level device but nevertheless, it does come with a number of interesting features that could differentiate it from other sub-RM 500 Android smartphones in the market.
One such feature is the touch pad on its back which allows users to unlock Alfa 2’s display, navigate its home screen and website, as well as snap photos without using the phone’s screen. Other than that, the Alfa 2 also comes with a multi-colour LED notification light that is integrated into its home button which notifies users of incoming messages, missed calls, and battery status.
Together with a 2.5D glass on top of its 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display, the Alfa 2 also features a 13-megapixels sensor from Sony and dual-tone LED flash for its rear camera together with a 5-megapixel sensor and a single LED flash for its front camera. Not to forget, the smartphone is also equipped with 2,600 mAh battery.
Leagoo has also equipped Alfa 2 with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, and 16GB internal storage with support for microSD card with storages of up to 32GB. However, the Alfa 2 does not support LTE connectivity and comes with only 1GB of RAM which are some of the biggest factors that reminded us of its entry-level nature.
As mentioned earlier, the Alfa 2 is priced at RM 449 and available immediately in four different colours through Leagoo’s dealers all over Malaysia. Alternatively, users are also able to obtain the new smartphone through Leagoo Malaysia’s official website.
