Monster Hunter X is finally making its way to the English speaking world; this time with the obligatory new name. The western port of the game will be known as Monster Hunter Generations, and will include a crossover promotion with the Fire Emblem series.
Monster Hunter Generations will include an armour set based on Fire Emblem’s Marth for download at launch. This isn’t exactly new for the series, as Nintendo has traditionally cross promoted its other games in Monster Hunter by introducing armour inspired by its other games like Mario and Metroid.
There is also a cross promotion with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, where dedicated players will be able to import their saves over to the new game and receive additional bonuses. Nintendo hasn’t revealed what these are yet, and the feature is something that hasn’t yet been implemented in any Monster Hunter title.
Monster Hunter Generations is scheduled to be released this summer.
