Acer has introduced the Liquid Z630s to the Malaysian market. This particular smartphone is an upgrade to the Liquid Z630, which was launched in November 2015. The newer phone buffs the hardware specification, while retaining the substantial battery capacity found on its predecessor.
The Acer Liquid Z630s sports a 5.5-inch HD display equipped with Acer’s Zero Air Gap technology that claims to reduce reflections and increase screen readability under bright sunlight. This is technically the same display found on the older Z630 as well.
Powering the Liquid Z630s is a 64-bit MediaTek 6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz. This is a step up from the 32-bit MediaTek 6735 processor on the Z630. Other improvements include bumping the RAM up to 3GB and doubling the internal storage to 32GB. Unfortunately, the Liquid Z630s still runs on Android 5.1 instead of Marshmallow.
The cameras on the Liquid Z630s are unchanged from its predecessor. The 8MP rear and front cameras remain, and are fitted with Acer’s custom shooting modes. Symmetrical front and rear cameras are unusual among mobile devices, and it looks like Acer is sticking to the theme.
The Acer Liquid Z630s is now available in stores for RM799.
