The Asus ZenBook UX305 has been refreshed several times ever since the first iteration was introduced about a year ago. Now, the slim and light laptop has received yet another refresh: it is now powered by Intel’s latest Skylake Core i5 and i7 processors.
There are now two variants of the new UX305: a Core i5-6200U model with 256GB of SSD storage, and a Core i7-6500U variant with a whopping 512GB SSD. Both models are packed with a 13.3-inch 1080p IPS matte display, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and Windows 10 Home out of the box. Both variants supposedly have up to 10 hours of battery life as well.

Interestingly, the Core m3-6Y30 variant of the UX305 is also part of the new lineup. Originally retailing at RM2,799, it is now priced at RM2,899; that’s a RM100 price increase. Regardless, it’s possible that Asus Malaysia is positioning this model as a more affordable variant to the Core i5 and i7 models, which are considerably more expensive.
While Asus Malaysia did not mention if these new UX305 variants are now available for purchase, we have spotted several online retailers that are already offering them. The i5 model is priced at RM4,099, while the highest-end i7 variant goes for RM5,299. More information on the new UX305 can be found on its official product page.
