Uncharted 4 has received a fair amount of delays to date, and now, it has received yet another one – hopefully, for the last time. Originally slated to be launched on the 26th of April, it will now release on the 10th of May; that’s a two-week delay.
According to Shawn Layden of PlayStation, the delay was necessary to meet the worldwide demand. He then elaborated that the launch of Uncharted 4 had to be postponed to allow for “extra manufacturing time.” Essentially, PlayStation wants to ensure that all of those who are eager to play Naughty Dog’s latest game worldwide will be able to do so on the day of the game’s release.
While this means that there are no bugs or glitches in Uncharted 4 to be fixed (from what we are told), it seems like PlayStation wants a smooth release for the game. After all, we imagine it will be quite frustrating if eager fans of the game are not able to secure a copy of the game on the day of release.
Layden assured gamers that Naughty Dog’s latest title will not disappoint. “The game is phenomenal – we are fully confident that it will be worth the wait and the team at Naughty Dog is eager as ever for you to experience Nathan Drake’s final adventure,” he said.
