MSI has announced its newest motherboard called the B150M Gaming Pro, which is a microATX gaming motherboard. This motherboard would definitely be a good option for gamers that are opting for a small form factor PC build.
The B150M Gaming Pro motherboard is equipped with a B150M chipset which supports Intel’s LGA 1151 socket for its Skylake and – upcoming – Kaby Lake processors. Specification-wise, the gaming motherboard comes with two DDR4 memory slots, which can support up to 32GB of memory and 2133MHz clock speeds.
Being a microATX motherboard means that the B150M Gaming Pro will come with little support for multiple monitor setups. In fact, the gaming motherboard only has a single HDMI, DVI-D and VGA port. However, PCIe slots are aplenty; the B150M Gaming Pro has one PCIe 3.0 x 16 and two PCIe 3.0 x 1 slots.
The most crucial information that a Mini-ATX PC builder will pay attention to would be the dimensions of a particular motherboard. That being said, the B150M Gaming Pro has a measurement of 24.3cm x 20.6cm. Finally, the I/O ports included with the gaming motherboard are two USB 2.0 and four USB 3.1 ports; one LAN (RJ45) ports along with three audio jacks. Amazingly, the B150M Gaming Pro is also equipped with the ancient PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports.
Unfortunately, MSI did not mention the price and availability of the B150M Pro Gaming motherboard. However, do expect an announcement by the company soon. More information regarding the MSI B150M Gaming Pro can be found here.
