vivo has been pretty quiet lately, but it seems to be gearing up to launch its most exciting smartphone yet, the Xplay 5. According to the company, the upcoming device will feature a whopping 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 820, and get this: a dual-curved display akin to the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.
All of these information were revealed by vivo itself on Weibo, a popular Chinese social media site. Not only is the Xplay 5 the world’s first smartphone to be packing as much as 6GB of RAM (which the company has revealed in a teaser), the fact that it has a dual-curved display and a Snapdragon 820 processor under its hood make the Xplay 5 a very compelling flagship smartphone.
Oddly enough, the last vivo device introduced to the Xplay series was the Xplay 3S; it seems like vivo decided to skip using the number four for this upcoming device. Regardless, the images shown in this article are allegedly the Xplay 5, although there’s a chance these leaked pictures are not accurate.
The vivo Xplay 5 is expected to be launched on the 1st of March 2016. Only then we’ll know if it will indeed feature a dual-curved display.
