Fresh from the global announcement of the new Galaxy S7, Samsung Malaysia has revealed that the company will be launching its latest flagship smartphone on 18 March 2016, just one week after the global rollout.
The new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones are Samsung’s most powerful smartphones to date, featuring new Exynos processors and a water resistant body. Its camera also features the first dual-pixel sensor on a smartphone, leading to exceptionally fast autofocus and low-light performance.
As such, it is good news to hear that Samsung is ready to release the Galaxy S7 so quickly in Malaysia. It will be launched in the country on 18 March 2016, and pre orders will take place from 7-11 March 2016.
What’s more, company representatives also revealed that pre orders for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will come with “a good deal”. Given that pre orders for this device comes with a retail unit of the Gear VR in the US and Europe, it won’t be a surprise that Samsung decides to do the same in Malaysia.
Unfortunately, Samsung declined to comment on pricing details, though we were told that “we’ll find out soon.”
