As it turns out, HTC One A9 was not the only star of the launch event by HTC Malaysia last night. The company also took the opportunity to highlight four other smartphones that will be making their way to our market very soon.
One such devices is the One ME which was originally announced in China back in June 2015 as the first smartphone in the market to feature MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor. Running at a maximum speed of 2.2GHz, the dual-SIM LTE smartphone also comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.
It is also built with a 5.2-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) display, 20-megapixels autofocus rear camera, UltraPixel front camera, front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers with Dolby Audio Surround enhancement, and 2,840 mAh battery. Available in Classic Rose Gold and Meteor Gray colors, the phone will be priced at RM 1,599 once released in Malaysia later this month.
The second phone in the list is the Desire 828 although the actual device was not on display at the launch event. Featuring MediaTek MT 6753T octa-core processor that has a maximum clock speed of 1.5GHz together with a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) display, it also comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage as well as the support for microSD card of up to 2TB.
Camera-wise, the dual-SIM LTE smartphone is equipped with 13-megapixels autofocus rear camera that is supplemented with f/2.0 lens and optical image stabilization. The Desire 828 also comes with a front-facing UltraPixel camera and 2,800mAh battery.
Other than that, Desire 728 will also be released in Malaysia soon. Comes with a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display and 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor, it also contains 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage with support for microSD card.
Apart from being a dual-SIM LTE smartphone, it is also equipped with 13-megapixels autofocus rear camera and 5-megapixels front camera. Just like Desire 828, the Desire 728 also comes with 2,800 mAh battery.
Last but not least, there is also the Desire 626 which is relatively the oldest phone in the line-up as it was first announced to the world in February 2015 – even before HTC launches the One M9. For Malaysia, the model comes with 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6752 octa-core processor as opposed to another variant that features 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor.
The dual-SIM, LTE-enabled Desire 626 also comes with 2GB of RAM, and 32GB internal storage with the option to increase it even further via microSD card slot. Completing the phone’s hardware package is a 2,000 mAh non-removable battery.
As opposed to One A9 and One ME, HTC Malaysia somehow decided not to reveal the pricing for any of the above HTC Desire smartphones. Nevertheless, we were informed that they will likely to be available in Malaysia next month. So, stay tuned then.
