Even though we are aware of Harvey Norman‘s reputation as an established IT retailer in addition to electrical products and furniture, we are quite surprised when we learned that the company has decided to launch its own self-branded laptop. Exclusively available in our market, the new laptop is called Charge Plus and was created with the help of Intel Malaysia as well as Microsoft Malaysia.
Featuring a versatile 2-in-1 form factor which allows owners to utilize it as either a tablet or traditional laptop, the Charge Plus is built with an 11.6-inch display although the screen type and screen resolution were not mentioned by Harvey Norman in its announcement. At the same time, the laptop is powered by an Intel Atom x5-Z8300 quad-core processor that runs at a maximum speed of 1.84GHz.
The Harvey Norman Charge Plus 2-in-1 laptop also comes with alongside 2GB of DDR3L RAM, 64GB internal storage and the support for microSD card. In addition to that, the laptop is also pre-installed with Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365 (complete with 1-year free subscription) as well as the Dewan Eja translator program.
Priced at RM 1,899, Harvey Norman is currently giving away free Screen Warranty Care, Logitech Bluetooth mouse, Beyerdyanamic in-ear headphones, Western Digital 750GB external hard drive, and Kingmax 32GB microSD card for the first 500 buyers of the company’s Charge Plus 2-in-1 laptop.
