Gigabyte has unveiled its newest mid-range motherboard dubbed the F2A88X-D3HP. The ATX motherboard is based on AMD’s A88X chipset, which supports FM2+ socket CPUs. Gigabyte mentioned that its newest motherboard is included under the company’s “Ultra Durable” motherboard series, which is said to be, well.. ultra durable.
The F2A88X-D3HP has a more down to earth design when compared to other motherboards in the market. Some users prefer this kind of simple design, because it somehow indicates that the manufacturer focused more on making a reliable motherboard instead of making ones that look amazing but has disappointing performance. As one would expect, the F2A88X-D3HP comes in an all black design with labels written in yellow.
Specification-wise, the F2A88X-D3HP is equipped with 24-pin and 8-pin connectors. In addition to that, the motherboard has 4 DDR3 DIMM slots which can support up to 64GB of RAM. The F2A88X-D3HP also comes with eight SATA 6Gbs ports along with support for various RAID configurations, two USB 3.1 ports (which are both type-A and type-C), and four USB 3.0 ports.
The F2A88X-D3HP has support for a 2-way AMD CrossFire configuration as well as AMD’s Infinity technology. Finally, the motherboard comes with one HDMI, dual-link DVI and VGA ports. Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not mention the price and availability of the F2A88X-D3HP in Malaysia, but it’s safe to assume that it will be coming soon.
