Samsung Malaysia has officially announced the availability of the Gear S2 Classic Platinum and Gold editions in Malaysia. Both the smartwatches were first seen at CES 2016 last month and were further detailed during the Samsung SEA Forum 2016 a few days ago. The retail price for both new variants of the Gear S2 classic smartwatches will be RM1,899.
The new Gear S2 smartwatch variants are aimed at consumers that expect something more stylish compared to the original Gear S2 classic. The premium edition Gear S2 smartwatches will feature a watch head coated with either 18-karat rose gold or platinum. In addition to that, both smartwatches will also be coming with an ivory or black-coloured leather bands.
One of the features that makes Samsung’s new smartwaches stand out is the fact that they will be supporting Samsung Pay via NFC technology, which will be made available in Southeast Asia – hopefully Malaysia as well – this year. In addition to that, Samsung has mentioned that, for a limited time, both the smartwatches will be bundled along with two additional bands (brown and grey) free of charge.
