PlayStation is bringing back its “Vote to Play” campaign for the month of February. Like before, PS Plus subscribers will have the opportunity to vote on the game they would like to receive as part of the March offer. As an added incentive, the games that didn’t win will be heavily discounted for PS Plus members during the same month.
Voting on games will take place between 10 – 23 February 2016, and the result will be announced on 25 February. After this, the winning game will become one of the free games offered to PS Plus members for the month of March. At the moment, it looks like PlayStation is offering a choice between three indie games: Action Henk, Assault Android Cactus, and BroForce.
Admittedly, it is difficult to see BroForce losing this vote; since it is one of the more interesting games to have been published in 2015. There is nothing like reliving action movies with Bro-ed up versions of the characters like Conan, Indiana Jones, Mr T, and Ellen Ripley. That being said, Assault Android Cactus is a twin stick shooter than doesn’t get as much exposure as it deserves.
It is difficult to say if PlayStation will be bringing back the “Vote to Play” campaign more often from now on. The last time it tried this was back in August 2015, which was almost half a year ago; and it doesn’t look like the whole voting thing will happen all the time.
