Announced to the world around three months ago, we have recently seen a very clear indication that HTC will be releasing its new One A9 into Malaysia soon. However, a rather interesting report has emerged today and pointed out not only the phone’s price tag but also its availability in our market.
According to the report by Amanz, the smartphone apparently has make its way to a number of local retailers. Additionally, its sources at Brightstar Malaysia which is the official distributor for HTC products in our market has confirmed that the price of One A9 has been set at RM 2,299 even though the official launch event for the device in our market has yet to take place.
For those who are not aware of its existence, the One A9 is equipped with 5-inch full HD AMOLED display that is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor, it comes in two different memory configurations: the first variant features 16GB internal storage and 2GB of RAM while the second variant (the one released into Malaysia) comes with 32GB storage and 3GB RAM.
Additionally, the One A9 is also equipped with 13-megapixels camera on its rear together with HTC’s own UltraPixel camera on the phone’s front. Last but not least, a 2,150 mAh battery provide the smartphone with up to 16 hours of 3G talk time, 9 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, 12 hours of HD video playback, and 18 days of 3G standby time.
Meanwhile, HTC Malaysia didn’t release any comment regarding the report of phone’s price and availability at this moment. While we don’t think that it will take long before the company spill out more details about the device, we shall wait for further information from HTC Malaysia.
