U Mobile today announced a new supplementary plan for the Hero P70 postpaid plan. Called the Hero Plus (or Hero+) plan, it offers two subscribers to share 10GB of data and unlimited calls to all networks for just RM60 per person.
Essentially, the new Hero Plus plan allows those on the P70 Hero postpaid plan to add a supplementary line, known as a Share 50 member line. Each member line costs RM50 a month, and adds 3GB of data to be shared between other member lines (if any) and the main line. The member lines also enjoy free unlimited calls to all networks.
For example, if a main P70 line adds a member line, the total monthly commitment would be RM120 a month, and both lines will share the 10GB of data quota and free unlimited calls. A main line can add a total of three “member” lines, totalling RM220 a month for four users with a shared Internet data pool of 16GB and of course, free unlimited voice calls to all numbers. This averages out to just RM45 a month, with each user having 4GB of data quota. SMS charges is set at 3 sen for U Mobile numbers and 8 sen for other networks.
This Share 50 member line is not only limited for those on the P70 lines. Those on the i90 and i130 iPhone plans can also apply for Share 50 member lines.
Interestingly, those on the lower-priced P50 and U28 postpaid plans can also apply for member lines, but with different stipulations. For the P50 plan, a member line will share the Internet data quota as well as free calls allocation as the main line for a monthly fee of RM10 a month; up to three member lines are allowed per principal line.
For the U28 plan, calls are charged at 18 sen/minute for U Mobile numbers and 30 sen/minute for other networks, but the member line can share the free 300 SMS allocation with the principal line. This member line does not share the data quota with the principal line. Only one member line is allowed for each principal U28 line, and it costs RM10 a month.
The Hero Plus supplementary plans are now immediately available for subscription at all U Mobile outlets nationwide, as well as its online store. Visit U Mobile for more information.
