With Netflix’s official arrival in Malaysia, iflix has amped up its game with the announcement of its collaboration with local telecommunication company, Digi. Digi customers will be getting 12 months worth of access to iflix for free, and all they need to do are a few simple steps.
In order to enjoy this offer, Digi customers need to either sign up or upgrade to Digi SmartPlan 65 and above. Take note that there are limited passes available, so those who are interested should act fast. Those who do not wish to sign up or upgrade to a new plan can still receive a 60-day access to iflix along with 1GB of data when they sign up for an iflix monthly subscription.
When the subscription or upgrade is successful, Digi customers do not even need to register for an account. All they have to do is install and launch the iflix app. From there, the iflix app will automatically detect Digi’s connection and permit access to the customer.
This isn’t the first time Digi and iflix has worked together. Back in October of 2015, these two companies have announced that customers can pay for their iflix subscription using their Digi prepaid credit or postpaid bill. Other than that, Digi also allowed its customers to register for an iflix account and get a full 60-day access for free.
Now that iflix has worked together with big companies like TM and Digi to provide iflix for free, could the company be working with other telcos as well?
