EVGA announced its newest gaming ATX motherboard, the Z170 Classified K. The Z170 Classified Motherboard will be the fourth gaming motherboard by EVGA to support Intel’s Z170 Express chipset and was built from the ground up with PC overclockers in mind.
The EVGA Z170 Classified K is fitted with an onboard CPU temperature monitor, which may come in handy for CPU overclockers. In addition to that, the Z170 Classified K was built using a 6-layer PCB to improve overclocking stability as well as cooling. Unsurprisingly, the gaming motherboard will be compatible with EVGA’s E-Leet Tuning Utility software which is quite similar to MSI’s Afterburner and Gigabyte’s OC GURU.
Being a gaming motherboard, the Z170 Classified K also comes features that are commonly found on other gaming motherboards such as an M.2 slot, dual BIOS support, two USB 3.1, six USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 slots. EVGA also has equipped the gaming motherboard with a Killer E2400 NIC Ethernet port to reduce latency for optimal online gaming. Besides that, the Z170 Classified K supports 2-way SLI + PhysX configuration as well.
According to the EVGA Z170 Classified K product page, the gaming motherboard would be priced at US$290 (about RM1,270). For a gaming motherboard, the Z170 Classified K is competitively priced when compared against the ROG Maximus VIII Formula or the MSI Z170A motherboards. Unfortunately, EVGA did not mention when the motherboard will be available in Malaysia. More information regarding the Z170 Classified K can he found here.
