honor’s first ever wearable finally has a release date in Malaysia. Retailing at RM259, the honor Band Z1 will be available for purchase on the 19th of January. Those who doesn’t want a full-fledged smartwatch will be interested in this wearable.
As mentioned in our hands on of the Band Z1 back in London last year, this wearable functions very much like the Huawei TalkBand B2. It is able to track the number of steps users have taken, support for sleep tracking, and of course, alert users of incoming calls. It is also able to mirror notifications from the device it is paired with, which can be either an iOS or Android device.
In terms of specification, the Band Z1 has a 1.06-inch 128 x 128 PMOLED display. While this display isn’t as sharp as other higher end smartwatches, it is more than enough for the Band Z1’s affordable asking price. Other than that, it is powered by a Cortex M4 based STM32F411 CPU from STMicroelectronics, and has an IP68 certification – the wearable can be submerged underwater up to 10 meter. Finally, but definitely not least, the Band Z1 also has a 70mAh battery, which will supposedly provide up to three to four days of battery life.
The honor Band Z1 will be available for purchase on Vmall.my on the 19th of January 2016 at 3.08PM. Priced at RM259, the Band Z1 will be available in three colours: Black, White and Khaki; the Black variant will come with a black aluminium body, while the other two variants will be paired with a silver aluminium body.
