Good news gamers: the MSI Vortex compact gaming PC and the MSI GT72S Tobii gaming laptop with eye tracking technology will be making their way to Malaysia sometime in Q2 2016. Announced just last week at CES 2016, it’s impressive of MSI Malaysia to bring in these products in such a short time frame.
Arguably one of the most interesting products unveiled at CES 2016, the MSI Vortex features two Nvidia GTX 980 GPUs inside a 6.5 litre enclosure, which is in itself an impressive feat. It also has an Intel Core i7-6700K processor, DDR4 RAM, PCIe SSD, a 450W PSU, as well as support for Thunderbolt 3. It’s hard to imagine how all of these hardware can be packed into such a tiny bucket-shaped chassis.
The GT72S Tobii, on the other hand, is the first laptop to ship with Tobii’s eye tracking hardware. As its name suggests, the eye tracking capability can be used in video games – that support the feature, of course – as another form of input. In terms of specification, the GT72S Tobii is packed with an Intel Core i7-6820HK processor, an Nvidia Geforce GTX 980M graphics card, support for DDR4 RAM and PCIe SSD, as well as a 17.3-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS display.
At the time of this writing, MSI Malaysia has yet to reveal the retail prices of these powerful gaming machines. It remains to be seen just when these two products will arrive here, which should be anywhere between April to June of 2016. For those who are wondering, it’s not confirmed yet if the MSI Gaming 27XT AIO will be available in Malaysia.
