Thermaltake has unveiled a new affordable gaming keyboard and mouse combo under its Tt eSports brand. Dubbed the Challenger Prime RGB, the combo features a membrane keyboard and a mouse with Omron switches; complete with RGB lighting, of course.
First, let’s talk about the keyboard part of the combo. Although it doesn’t feature any mechanical switches like higher end keyboards (it’s part of an affordable combo after all), it does have RGB lighting, although it’s a single zone backlighting. The RGB lighting is fairly customisable as well, which include pulsing colour and “pulse jumping” effects. Other features of this keyboard include anti-ghosting and on-the-fly macro recording.
The mouse, on the other hand, also features RGB lighting. What makes it particularly interesting is its Omron switches, which should provide a good and clicky feedback; Thermaltake claims that the mouse has a life cycle of 10 million clicks, which sounds pretty impressive. Other than that, this mouse is also equipped with a Pixart Avago 3050 optical sensor and has a sensitivity of up to 3,200dpi.
