Huawei has revealed a new design for the Huawei Watch at CES 2016. Designed specifically for the ladies (or the feminine side in you), the Huawei Watch Elegant and Jewel are Huawei’s first attempt in creating wearables aimed at women.
According to Huawei, the Watch Elegant and Jewel are the “first smartwatches” to be manufactured especially for women. Both the new smartwatches by Huawei have similar specifications with the standard Watch editions. Basically, the changes that come along with the Huawei Watch Elegant and Jewel are merely cosmetic. Being made for women, it’s no surprise that both the smartwatches are bedazzled with crystals and a gold watch frame along with 10 new watch faces designed with women in mind.
According to sources, the Huawei Watch Elegant and Jewel still retains the bulkiness of the original Huawei Watch. Additionally, the smartwatch has a 1.4-inch 400 x 400 display with a small-sized wrist band. The Huawei Watch Jewel is designed with Swarovski Zircona crystals embedded around the watch frame while the Huawei Watch Elegant has a “Clous De Paris” pattern featured around the gold-plated watch frame.
Of course, premium smartwatches don’t come cheap. According to Huawei, the Huawei Watch Elegant will be priced at US$499 (about RM2200) while the Huawei Watch Jewel will retail at a price of US$599 (around RM 2600). Unfortunately, Malaysia wasn’t included in the list of countries to receive the smartwatches first. More details regarding the Huawei Watch Elegant and Jewel can be found on Huawei’s website.
