Dell has brought two new monitors to the CES show floors this year, but they’re not just any monitor. These are wireless monitors that have wireless mirroring and wireless charging features built right into the monitor itself.
Dell’s wireless monitors come in two sizes, 23 and 23.8-inch, both of which are capable of mirroring content from Windows laptops as well as Android phones using Miracast and Bluetooth technology. Let’s start with the Dell 23 Wireless Monitor: it is a full HD 23-inch monitor that has a wireless charger built right into the base. The wireless charging base is compatible with two of the most popular wireless charging standards – Qi and PMA. Other than that, the monitor also has dual 3-watt speakers and a wide 178-degree viewing angle. Besides that, the monitor also has a standard HDMI port and USB 2.0 ports.
Moving on to the bigger brother, conveniently named the Dell 24 Wireless Monitor, the speakers and the wireless charging feature from the base has been removed. In return, it gets four USB 3.0 ports, better colour reproduction, as well as a smaller bezel. Obviously, these features make the larger sized monitor suitable for professional and commercial use.
The Dell 23 and 24 Wireless Monitors will be available starting from the 31st of March. The former will go for USD$429 (about RM1,890), while the latter will cost USD$469 (approximately RM2,050).
