If you’re a fan of Samsung’s Galaxy Note series – and were disappointed by the Note 7‘s fate – you may want to look forward to the company’s upcoming Galaxy S8. According to a report, the Galaxy S8 could support the Note device’s signature S Pen.
Rumours circulating the Galaxy S8 suggest that Samsung is currently testing out multiple prototypes of the S8; one of which has the S Pen built into the device, much like the Note series. However. it was said that Samsung didn’t particularly like this idea; the company is rumoured to be offering the S Pen as an extra accessory now.
Considering the fact that there’s virtually no new Galaxy Note device this year, it would make a lot of sense to offer the S Pen as an accessory for the Galaxy S8. We imagine many Note fans will be pleased with this, most of which value the S Pen a lot as an input device.
As is always the case with rumours, take this information with a grain of salt, although it wouldn’t be far-fetched to assume that Samsung will indeed offer the S Pen’s functionalities on the Galaxy S8. All should be revealed in due time; the S8 is rumoured to be unveiled sometime in April 2017.
