Within days after OPPO announced that it will be launching R9s in Malaysia soon, the company has today revealed that the media launch event for the smartphone will take place next week. If you able to recall, OPPO R9s and its bigger brother R9s Plus made their world debut in China back in October.
In terms of processing power, both OPPO R9s and R9s Plus are mid-range phones since they are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and Snapdragon 653 respectively. That being said, the amount of RAM available on them are not too shabby indeed at 4GB and 6GB alongside 64GB of internal storage.
As you might be able to guess from our previous reports, the most touted feature of R9s is its rear camera which comes with a 16-megapixels Sony IMX398 sensor as well as f/1.7 6-elements lens, electronic image stabilization system, and LED flash. On R9s Plus, optical image stabilization system was also added to its rear camera.
In China, R9s is listed at CNY 2,799 (about RM 1,804) while the R9s Plus goes for CNY 3,499 (about RM 2,255). So, let’s see how different these phones will be priced for our market then once they are launched in Malaysia on 5 January 2017.
