We made it to the end of 2016, and our podcast is still very much alive. We cap the year by bringing up some of our top stories from the past year, and talk about how things could change in 2017. Oh, and we finally officially introduce ourselves to our listeners.
Terry starts things off by talking about how bleak the eSports scene in Malaysia is; mostly for Dota 2. While Andrew turns up believing that the Mi Mix was the story of the year for Xiaomi.
Farhan manages to drag any remaining optimism out of the show by bringing up internet censorship and fake news. He believes we are only steps away from George Orwell’s vision of a dystopian future; which is double plus ungood for anyone keeping score.
Things pick up with Chapree, who reveals his real name for the first time. He may have also brought up the fact that Webe is a game changer for the telco industry. Ages are also revealed as Atur is dragged out from the depths of history.
Pang wraps up our last podcast for 2016 by saying nice things about the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. There may have been several puns made at the Note 7’s expense, but it was all in good fun.
There’s no podcast next week, and we’ll be back in the second week of January to talk about CES 2017.
