It looks like folks at the Humble Store aren’t quite done with giving away free games. This time round, it’s another Codemasters classic: GRiD. The ever so popular 2008 racing simulator is currently free on the Humble Store, but only for a limited time.
Prior to this, the Humble Store also gave away a free Codemasters game in November: DiRT 3. Aside from providing gamers with the GRiD game for free, there is also an ongoing Codemasters game sale on the Humble Store. Those aside, knowing how “old” the original GRiD is, gamers need not worry too much about running game at relatively smooth framerates.
It’s worth mentioning that GRiD will only be free on the Humble Store until about 2am this coming Sunday. In addition, due to the high volume of users wanting to claim the game, there could be some downtime on the Humble Store – they ran out of Steam Keys for the DiRT 3 game in November (but was promptly restocked).
All one has to do to claim GRiD for free is to visit the Humble Store official website. Do remember that the Steam game code obtained from the Humble Store must be redeemed by the end of the month, or it may expire. Folks, even if you’re not into racing games, it’s still unwise to turn down this deal. It’s a free game!
