Asus’ latest smartwatch, the ZenWatch 3, is now officially available in Malaysia. Retailing at RM1,199, this positions it as one of the most affordable smartwatches with a circular display; it’s quite a well-equipped Android Wear device too.
In comparison to its predecessors, the ZenWatch 3 is a much, much sleeker smartwatch. it now boasts a circular display instead of a square one, and it’s a pretty great display too: it measures 1.39-inch with a resolution of 400 x 400. On top of that, it’s also an AMOLED display, which should be more power-efficient than an LCD panel.
Other specifications of the ZenWatch 3 include Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor paired with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of eMMC storage, IP67 rating, Bluetooth 4.1, as well as a 340mAh battery with quick charge support; Asus also claims that the ZenWatch 3 has up to two days of battery life.
The Asus ZenWatch 3 is set to go for RM1,199 in Malaysia, and there are two different variants to choose from at the moment. The Gunmetal model is paired with a dark brown strap, while the Silver model has a beige strap.
Seeing how Dynamics Distribution has already promoted the ZenWatch 3 on its Facebook page, the smartwatch should be hitting store shelves very soon. At the time of this writing, the ZenWatch 3 doesn’t appear to be available on any online stores yet.
