Not content with the quiet release of the A6600 Plus and the Vibe P2, Lenovo Malaysia today has announced the launch of two new smartphones, the K6 Note and K6 Power. The two devices are set to be available from early January 2017.
The K6 Note and K6 Power are essentially the same devices, with few differences between them. The K6 Note, as its name suggests, is the larger of the two with a 5.5-inch Full HD display compared to the 5-inch Full HD one on the Power.
But, interestingly, the Power variant does not have a larger battery; both K6 smartphones pack large 4,000mAh batteries. And, despite the K6 Power being the smaller of the two, it features two rear-firing speakers over the single bottom speaker on the K6 Note; both devices have Dolby Atmos enhancement.
They are both also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 3GB of RAM (4GB on the K6 Note) and 32GB of expandable storage (up to 128GB microSD cards).
The K6 Power and K6 Note are both made from a combination of metal and polycarbonate, and have a fingerprint scanner at the rear. For the cameras, both phones feature 8MP fixed-focus front cameras, and 13MP (K6 Power) or 16MP (K6 Note) rear camera sensors with phase detect autofocus.
The Lenovo K6 Power and K6 Note will be available from early January 2017 at a retail price of RM799 and RM999, respectively, in three colours: Dark Gray, Gold, and Silver (K6 Power only).
