We reported a couple of weeks ago that Samsung may unveil a new colour for the Galaxy S7 edge, and now, it has been confirmed. Officially dubbed Black Pearl, this new variant is the seventh colour option for the S7 edge.
According to Samsung, this new colour has a glossy finish, which “radiates quality and luxury,” as Samsung puts it. Looking at the product renders of the Galaxy S7 edge in Black Pearl, it does look more reflective than the existing Black Onyx colour. In fact, it actually looks somewhat similar to the Jet Black iPhone 7.
Unfortunately, the Black Pearl colour will only be available on the 128GB model of the Galaxy S7 edge. For the Malaysian market, only the 32GB variant of the S7 edge is sold here; whether or not this means the Black Pearl S7 edge won’t be released here still remains to be seen.
Aside from a glossy new colour, the Black Pearl Galaxy S7 edge still shares the same hardware as other variants of the device. These include a 5.5-inch dual-curved 1440p Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 8890 processor with 4GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, a 3,600mAh battery, as well as a fast 12MP dual-pixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge in Black Pearl will be launched in selected markets tomorrow on the 9th of December 2016. Hopefully, the new colour will be launched in Malaysia as well like the Blue Coral variant of the S7 edge.
