It looks like the GTX 1080 Ti isn’t the only Nvidia product that is rumoured to be debuting at CES 2017. New rumours have surfaced regarding a potential unveiling of a mobile GTX 1050 GPU. If this is true, then PC gamers can expect to see an array of ‘affordable’ Pascal-based gaming laptops being launched next year.
Just like its more powerful siblings, the GTX 1050 mobile is also expected to boast almost similar specifications as its desktop variant. It seems that Nvidia is now beginning to cater for the mainstream notebook market.
PC Authority cited unnamed sources that Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte are preparing to launch their mobile GTX 1050 equipped gaming notebooks during CES 2017. While, other sources are expecting the GTX 1050 mobile GPU to come with performance that is on par with a GTX 970M GPU; which isn’t bad at all.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see decently priced mobile GTX 1050-equipped gaming notebooks selling like hotcakes. Regardless, we’ll have to wait for Nvidia’s keynote during CES 2017 to be sure of this.
