Gone are the days of being at the mercy of the currency exchange rate as Apple has finally decided to convert all prices in its services from US Dollars to Ringgit Malaysia.
Over the weekend, Apple sent a notice to all its Malaysian customers via e-mail to notify them of this change. The Cupertino-based company has also mentioned that this change will be done automatically and users need not do anything.
The currency change will happen on the App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple Music Malaysia. As for customers who have pre-orders or are subscribed to any subscription service, their expenses will be charged in RM instead.
Apple hasn’t mentioned an exact date on when the change will take place, but for now, our App Store is still showing prices in USD. For those who often purchase apps or in-game/app content. you might want to wait for the currency change to take place.
